Eva De Marchi

I am an experienced psychoanalytic psychotherapist, I trained at and I am a member of the Site of Contemporary Psychoanalysis as well as being a member of the Council for Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis (CPJA).

I specialise in working with people with relationship issues,  individuals and couples. I also have extensive experience in both long term and brief work with anxiety and depression and how they can also manifest as physical symptoms.

My approach is open, inquisitive and curious. I have witnessed how change happens through the in-depth conversations I have with those who take the important step of seeking help in the consulting room.  I offer online sessions when necessary, but I prefer to work face to face in my consulting rooms.

I practice privately as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist and as a Senior Specialist Clinician for the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust where I work with complex needs and somatisation.

I began my career working in public policy and soon realised that alongside the social and cultural forces that shape who we are and become, the understanding of our own personal and unique individual history is necessary to enable meaningful change.

Between 2018 and 2021 I held a non-clinical, managerial position at the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC), where I had the responsibility of advocating for the provision of psychoanalytically informed interventions in the NHS, the Department for Health and the UK Parliament.

Languages: English/Italian.

My private practice is based in Streatham and in Mayfair, Hanover Square, W1.

Accredited Member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP)
